The Christian Veterinary Mission seeks to help veterinary students and professionals live out their Christian faith through their profession by serving in their own communities and worldwide.  Their desire is to transform lives and communities by improving the health of livestock and other animals.

The West Copake Reformed Church is currently assisting in sponsoring Dr. Wayne Hassinger and his family while they are serving in Haiti.

We became involved in this mission as one of our congregants had made several mission trips to Haiti with CVM and encouraged our Church to send a group of volunteers in 2006.  The group included two Veterinary Doctors and 6 volunteers.  They were equiped with several suitcases filled with medicines and vaccines.  It was a life changing experience for all who participated.  We have been sponsoring this veterinary mission ever since.
